<h3>
<b>Who Robs a Food Bank?</b></h3>
<div>
We recently had a person come to Hotel Dieu for Women who was supposed to be a volunteer who had been in a battered women's shelter.</div>
<div>
Long story - short : I was kept awake for 4 days and nights straight, drugged, then hauled off to a emergency ward then a mental health unit based on the lies of the volunteer.</div>
<div>
When I finally got home, the volunteer had taken my phone, emptied the food bank and my cupboards, and swapped shoddy items for my clothes and furniture.</div>
<div>
Fortunately, I am alive. Unfortunately, the police are refusing to take a statement.</div>
<div>
This has been a huge learning experience and new volunteer policies are being put in place as well as food security policies.</div>

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-</div>
People ask me how things are going here in Northern Ontario - we are plugging along! There is so much that has happened that it is difficult to get it all into words.<br />
Here is a bit of an update:<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
If you are new here, you might be wondering what is a Hotel Dieu for Women?<br />
<br />
<i><b>Hotel Dieu for Women</b></i> - non-profit respites for women and their children are a project of Refurbished Homes by Refurbished People. Dry, smoke-free respites offer a place where women can get the wind back in their sails - "Whether for an hour, a day, or a season - a place where women can BE and see themselves through the Loving eyes of G-d."<br />
Refurbished Homes by Refurbished People operates as non-profit foundation aiming to assist people in being refurbished 5 Ways through the Love of Christ as they refurbish homes.<br />
<h3>

Offering Storage For Women in Need - Making Your Home a Hotel Dieu for Women!</h2>
Often women who need to enter a shelter lose all their belongings because they have no money to pay for storage.<br />
Do you or your church have space that is empty and not being used?
Could you help a woman in need by offering free storage space?
It costs you nothing extra and provides a very important service.<br />
Don't have any extra space?
<br />
<a name='more'></a>How can you help women without space?<br />
<h3>
Ways to Help Women When You Have No Extra Space</h3>
Could you volunteer your truck or van or even your assistance to move belongings for a woman in need?
Perhaps there is another way you could help women in need.<br />
Ask God to Open rhe eyes of your heart to Guide your hands, your words, and your feet.<br />
Contact your local shelter and church today and let them know about your willingness to help.<br />
<h3>
Hotel Dieu for Women Fauquier - Offering Storage for Women in Need!</h3>
<div>
Here, in Fauquier Ontario, we contacted the Victim Services in the local area, as well as the local shelters and posted an ad on Kijiji. We prayed and asked God to show us people who could use this service and we were lead to overhear a young woman who was having to get rid of all her belongings to move into a room after her divorce.</div>
<div>
It is surprising who in your community will need help. </div>
<div>
Next week we plan on contacting the local churches to offer our help.</div>

Hôtel Dieu for Women - Beginnings!</h2>
<div>
<b><i>Hôtel Dieu for Women - </i></b></div>
<div>
<b><i>Whether for an hour, a day or a season, </i></b></div>
<div>
<b><i>A place for women to BE and see themselves through the Loving Eyes of God.</i></b></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
When this vision was first given, it was simply a scrap of paper torn from the top of a page of foolscap with Hôtel Dieu for Women printed in blue pen across the top.</div>
<div>
I had asked God what He wanted me to do, and He had replied with a detailed vision of Refurbished Homes by Refurbished People, and this cryptic vision of a slip of paper.</div>
<div>
Later, when asking God for further clarification, a full vision of a Hôtel Dieu for Women was givien in an extremely detailed dream.</div>
<div>
Since then, God has put some amazing people and experiences in place to forward this vision with which we are steadily moving forward.</div>
<div>
This blog will attempt to answer some questions about the vision, and keep our readers from around the world updated on the challenges and progress in walking forward in faith with this ministry.</div>
